I'm Gerardo Ortega

I am a psycholinguist at the University of Birmingham. My research focuses on the sign languages of deaf communities and the gestures produced by hearing people. I am interested in how people learn and process sign languages, how the body contributes to communication, and how sign languages develop over time.
